It was a good start for Kyle Hendricks, but he took the loss anyway. Hendricks allowed three runs on five hits over seven innings. He struck out six and didn't walk anyone.
Second baseman Arismendy Alcantara was 2 for 5 with a triple and two runs scored. His nine triples lead the PCL.
Center fielder Matt Szczur was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Right fielder Casper Wells went 2 for 4.
Tennessee Smokies
Off Day. They take on Mississippi at home tomorrow.
Daytona Cubs
The Daytona Cubs were blue after losing to the Dunedin Blue Jays, 11-4.
Felix Pena's streak of eleven straight starts of allowing one earned run or fewer ended in a big way tonight, as Pena got hammered for nine runs on ten hits in only four innings. Two of those ten hits were home runs. Pena struck out two and walked one.
Catcher Chadd Krist clubbed a solo home run in the third inning, his first of the season. Krist was 1 for 3 with a walk.
