Twins rally for two in the top of the ninth to tie the game, but Jays walk it off in the bottom half.

Despite the Twins owning the lead and even coming back to tie the game, it wasn't enough as the Twins drop the opener of their nine-game road trip. Minnesota got on the board first with back-back home runs to lead off the ball game from Danny Santana and Brian Dozier. That's the first time that has happened since 2002.

Remember when Phil Hughes wore pinstripes for seven years? Remember when he gave up home runs left and right (no pun intended)? Clearly that demon has entered Ricky Nolasco and is pissing every one off. Now I know the Jays do nothing but hit bombs, but Nolasco has surrendered an AL leading 13 home runs. His ERA is 5.70.

Nolasco coughed up two long balls to Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Reyes, giving the Jays a 4-2 lead. Josh Willingham would rope a one-out triple in the sixth and the Twins would eventually load the bases, but Trevor Plouffe grounded into an inning ending double-play.

It wasn't until the ninth inning when the Twins were able to get to closer Casey Janssen. Kendrys Morales started the rally with a single, finishing the day by going 1-for-3  with a walk. Kurt Suzuki and Eduardo Escobar tied the game with back-back doubles. WOOOOO!

For some reasonMatt Guerrier began the ninth for a 2nd inning of work and led off the inning walking Dioner Navarro. Guerrier would get a punch out before Casey Fien would finish the game, but would not record a single out as the Jays walked it off on the back of consecutive singles from Jose Reyes and Kevin Pillar. And the Twins lost.

But Kendry Morales looked good, right? Joe Mauer went 0-for-4, dipping his average to .259. Many people have asked if he's had lingering back issues, but I think he's still feeling post-concussion like symptoms. Your thoughts TwinkieTown faithful?
